Advancing Queensland Exploration

The Queensland Exploration Council (QEC) recently submitted Advancing Queensland Exploration – Key Initiatives for Industry Development to Queensland Government, outlining strategic recommendations to drive growth and secure the long-term future of Queensland’s exploration sector.

Aligned with the QRC’s pre-budget submission, this proposal directly addresses challenges identified in the 2024 QEC Exploration Scorecard. The recommendations aim to boost competitiveness, attract investment, and position Queensland as a global leader in resource exploration.

Queensland Exploration Scorecard

The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) and the QEC proudly launched the 2024 QEC Exploration Scorecard in November, an essential barometer of industry sentiment and future opportunities in Queensland’s resources sector.

Marking its 14th edition, the 2024 Scorecard captures a wealth of data, tracking key issues and emerging opportunities for the exploration sector over more than a decade. As the largest data set of its kind in Queensland, it offers valuable insights and trends to help guide long-term decision-making and policy settings, reinforcing Queensland’s position as a leading resources growth state.
