Have your say: 2026 Exploration Sentiment Survey
The Queensland Exploration Council is inviting eligible explorers to complete the 2026 Exploration Sentiment Survey.
The survey is open to companies that undertook resource exploration activity in Queensland in 2025-26.
Your feedback will directly inform the 2026 QEC Exploration Scorecard, the annual report that tracks the health, sentiment and competitiveness of Queensland’s exploration sector. The Scorecard is one of the industry’s most important evidence-based advocacy tools and it has tracked the exploration landscape for 16 years. It helps identify what is working, where barriers remain and what policy, regulatory or investment settings need attention to support a stronger exploration pipeline in Queensland.
Why your input matters
The Scorecard is used to:
- reflect the real operating conditions faced by explorers in Queensland
- identify the policy, regulatory, cost, land access, approvals, workforce and capital issues affecting exploration activity
- importantly it compares Queensland’s operating environment with other Australian and international jurisdictions
- inform QEC and QRC advocacy with government, regulators and other stakeholders
- support a stronger case for practical reforms that improve Queensland’s attractiveness as an exploration investment destination.
Exploration is the foundation of Queensland’s future resources pipeline. Reliable survey responses help ensure the 2026 Scorecard is grounded in current industry experience, not assumptions.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. All responses are aggregated, confidential and anonymous.
